Today, David is the founder and CEO of Disruptive Growth Solutions, where he works with business leaders who want clear strategy, stronger execution, and measurable results. Before that, he founded ReverseRisk, a web-based analytics platform designed to help dealers improve performance and evaluate acquisition opportunities. He later sold the company to Reynolds and Reynolds.
David spent more than 30 years in retail automotive leadership, managing both single-point stores and large dealer groups. At Smythe European, he led a Mercedes-Benz dealership that generated $29 million in net profit in a single year while also achieving exceptionally low employee turnover and top-tier performance in fixed ops, used cars, and F&I.
He later joined AutoNation, where he oversaw a $2.3 billion, 35-store region with more than 3,500 associates and earned the company’s top recognition for leading the highest-performing market in the country.
Because he has worked across operations, analytics, leadership, and growth strategy, David understands how to translate data into decisions, identify what is really holding performance back, and help organizations move forward with clarity.
